>>2356414I play bass guitar as my go-to instrument and have for some time. I tried learning piano when I was very young but could not co-ordinate my hands to play two songs at once, it was almost impossible.
That being said, a few years ago I learned the lead to "Sweet Child 'O Mine" and played it one-handed on a cheap synth I had and it sounded pretty good.
Since then I've had an odd fascination with keytars, but after spending almost $500 on my first real bass guitar I could never justify dropping that much (if not more) on something I wouldn't play very often.
If I was dedicated in learning how to only play a keyboard one-handed, only playing leads and solos and only on a synth platform, then yes, but it seems odd for someone who seeks to learn just how to play a keytar and not the proper keyboard as a whole, but I suppose that's a whole new realm of possibility when you approach it like that, who knows.
Perhaps a few Christmases from now when I have money and nothing else that I want or need.
