Look at the clouds and the light's overwoven shimmer, the brightness of the sky, the overwhelming power. It cannot be anything other than the ancient Eschaton, ἔσχατον, the prophesized end of History. I tend to agree with the old Greek view that Fate is unconquerable. But here it also seems desirable.
