>>2158519If OP had mentioned a specific lack of Rei Q as a requirement, I'd see a little more legitimacy for the Bitchfests I see in every single Rei Thread. We're on Thread #25 now, if there is a standard for that kind of thing, it should be well established as part of the OP guidelines, especially given the drama it seems to cause.
Otherwise, I see the whole thing as one big "Stop liking what I like." bitchfest. I haven't had the chance to see Rebuild yet, so admittedly, I'm coming from a very neutral standpoint regarding Rei Q...but the fact remains, it's not part of the thread guidelines, nobody is forcing people to look at Rei Q against their will, and it generates needless drama, and content-less posts that do nothing but add strife and aggravation to the threads.
On top of that, I would think it would give the Janitors ammo to clean Rei Q posts from the thread (Being Offtopic, by nature of OP's Guidelines) which would keep everyone happy in the Rei Thread that doesn't want to see Rei Q. It would also encourage the posting of an independent thread for Rei Q Fans, so they could have their own little realm. Win-Win for everyone, if a little redundant. (I'm of the opinion that Rei Q would work fine in a Rei Thread, if people just ignored content they don't like instead of bitching about it, but then I know I'm not everyone.) Rei Fans have their thread, free of Rei Q, Rei Q Fans have their thread, Everybody Happy!
Just my $0.02, but I'm sick of seeing /c/itizens at each other's throats every single Rei Thread, due to what seems to be some quibble about canon. Make it part of the OP guidelines, and then nobody has grounds to bitch anymore, especially since Rei Q can simply be Janitored out.
