Most of the replies are bots and the captcha doesn't stop it at all. Neither do accounts, there are similar bots on places like discord and plebbit nowadays. The accounts just make it harder for legit users to work around mod faggotry. That's why shilling is so bad now here. They're the only ones that can post here without a care. They'd leveraged themselves in the moderation somehow.
