It scared the owner of E-Hentai/Exhentai enough to make him shut down Exhentai (which has a bunch of stuff not listed on E-Hentai, specifically loli and shota stuff) yesterday with the only warning being from one of the E-Hentai mods saying Exhentai will be gone in 12 hours.
Thus began a massive influx of people trying to download as many galleries from Exhentai as they could before it died. And now it's gone, except for donors, apparently.
Basically, shit sucks. E-Hentai might follow suit sometime by the end of the year, too, unless the owner passes ownership to someone else or decides to continue running the site.
