A. It is never stated or implied that Revy ever worked as a prostitute in the manga. Rowan asks if Revy would be willing to do another "show" at his club. Revy declines, even if it "involves whipping". It's pretty obvious Revy worked as a dom in a floor show, which wouldn't involve her having sex at all, or even stripping.
B. The anime changes the entire scenes dialog. Rowan begs Revy to come and work at his club, but Revy disgustedly declines. There's plenty of implication that this isn't the first time Rowan has asked, but every implication that Revy had ever worked for him before is removed. Coming among an adaptation that follows the rest of the arc word for word, it's a very deliberate change that makes most fans consider Revy ever working for Rowan non-canon to the anime.
