I'm curious as to what you consider normalfag behavior. I know /a/ tends to embrace the NEET, weeaboo lifestyle to a greater degree while other boards are often a bit more ashamed, if that's the right word, of their abnormalities, but that doesn't make them normalfags. Being a normalfag is rejecting the weird stuff entirely and clinging to standard societal values, which is opposed to being a mega-autist like you see on DA, tumblr, etc. One of the reasons I love 4chan is that people here tend to strike a nice balance between the two, normal enough to actually talk to while still understanding and accepting that you can love a fictional, five year old, animated girl with a penis or two.
