For what it's worth, I absolutely adore everything about Lena with every ounce of my heart and soul, and I'm also quite frustrated with her current place in the narrative. But I do -not- want her to get a short just yet, and here's why: they often represent a character's best moment, and I think if she received one from her current position, it would feel like going from 0 to 100 in an instant. And once it’s over, all you can do is slow down. I don't want her finest hour to come and go during a period when I can't fully appreciate or get excited for it. I’d rather her first get something smaller that offers her some earnest development and helps progress things. Then, we gradually build up to it over time until it feels like a reward she’s earned, the destination at the end of a long journey; more like going from 0 to 100 steadily and purposefully over an appreciable distance that lets you take in the scenery. I'm very ready for her to get something new, but I wouldn't mind waiting a couple more years for a proper cinematic if it would mean ensuring the payoff is as enjoyable and meaningful as possible.
