I wonder where they're going, somehow I feel like Sis probably sent them on a mission to retrieve some items she needs for her contraptions, the girls have very serious looks on their faces.
If they're able to travel to (at least relatively) distant places in the train without any problems, then that disproves the theory that the simulation only contains parts of the world centered around Shimeji's home and the further you go the more things get messed up. But the theory that the simulation features things from Shimeji's memories still might be true if she traveled on that train in the past.
Also, please tell me I'm not the only one that's slightly bothered by the fact that Shimeji's shimejis' mushroom-heads are not coloured in gray like usually.
