It is well-known that Tsukumizu, the author of the manga, has depression, and while this is rather common on 4chan, it is very advanced, so far that 4chan once sent her a "Thank you" card to express their gratitude for her existence. It can be theorized that Tsukumizu is projecting her wishes on the manga's characters and is creating an ideal world for her to live in. But while most self-insert manga writers write rather terrible isekais to escape from the real world, Tsukumizu wrote an escapist manga where the end is clear and inevitable: death. The manga has a rather powerful message that although we may plan and stress over our lives, it is ultimately our life to enjoy however we want in whatever fashion we wish.
