It's hard to explain, but night flying is just such an incredible experience.
The air is pure, clear, soft, and permissive. The city lights glow below you, splotches stretching to the distant horizon. Radio traffic is calm. Somehow, you feel that the whole airspace is your own to play in.
It's a sublime feeling. I wish I could fly at night forever.
