>>2904747>Well if you define development as "a story I like" or continue your "Rei was never seen in Rebuild 3" no but if you recognize the entire Rebuild series is about the bond of Shinji and Rei defeating the Angels then you are wrong.I don't get why you obsess with the "it's about Shinji and Rei's bond", when it's not up for debate. Not in the sense that I or others agree, but that it isn't really the topic. It can be discussed in length, yes, but you'd find that it would only serve our point of view. Because Shinji and Rei's relationship is given the same coverage as Trump's relationship with the Russians from certain news sites, a wholly negative and critical commentary which criminalizes both parties. It's an attack on everything Rei, but again, this is a discussion for another time.
But for the third time, you have missed the point. Deliberately, because despite you finding the guts to reply this time, you are still running away by focusing on irrelevant parts of the argument structure rather than addressing the argument itself. Which is why you could reply to three posts with ONE reply, since your response is really just repeating yourself.
The main point here is that regardless of what you think of Rei, Rebuild or anything else, Rei Q does not have any development in the third movie. Development of a character requires that you have something to develop, which Rei Q does not. You may want to point out the time when Rei Q "ejected" and take that as character development, BUT:
Because you never had any character-related reason or background as for why Rei Q would be unable to eject in the first place, it can't be called development. Development is seen as a character changing, or if you will, developing from one state to another. When Rei Q's previous state is undefined, she has not developed as character either.
It's quite literally, a pretentious cliche, faux development of a "doll girl" now doing something. If anything, it's made to be insulting.
