>>3575392Probably the former. I think it's always been a ubiquitous part of society. People ostracize and abuse those who don't fit in (weird/depressed/whatever people) to assert themselves as "normal" and to thus solidify their position in the tribe. It was probably even worse in the past. I still wish we were nicer to eachother though.
