>>4107399>>4107913Dunno, I guess I just feel like the only sane person in a mental asylum? It feels like everyone is just taking Takeuchi in that one interview at his word rather than actually looking at the character and judging them for who they genuinely are. I'm not particularly impressed with how Rin has been handled in El-Melloi and FSF is all I am saying. She's treated as just another gimmick, rather than a full-fledged character of her own. Will those stories find ways to explore facets of Rin's character we couldn't in FSN, or tread old ground but in new, interesting and fulfilling ways? Not holding my breath to be honest.
Guess if I had to sum up my thoughts it'd be that Rin's potential apart from Shirou is over-exaggerated and overrated yet also ironically squandered. You get me?
>but maybe you just can't see it unless you're invested in Rin as something more than just an outer shell. To an extent this is true but I've seen even people who say they are fans of Rin say nonsense like that! In the vein of "Oh I love this character so much but Nasu did her dirty." What the fuck? I genuinely find Rinfags of all people saying such stuff extremely infuriating.
>I can't consider the payoff with Archer's last scene and the final scene in the classroom anything less than bombastic.Yeah people who don't like Rin's romance are really missing out. They'll never be able to enjoy Archer's story or his goodbye in particular to the same extent we do...
>That's a cute figure by the way, I happen to have her sitting right here on my desk.I sometimes consider buying figurines but a part of me thinks that money is better spent on art commissions.
>>4107704You're right actually she is a waitress, it was some cross promotion with some cafe or restaurant? I don't know if UFO ever released maid Rin art. My mind just jumped to that pic when you said that though I have noticed a lot of UFO art just can't be found online, which is a shame.
