I'd add some touches of the brown of her eyes as well to add a bit more variety and calm to the colour pallet (and because most flags I can think of that are solely red and black are political in nature). It should have edge, but don't think shouldn't be too harsh either. Perhaps a red circle over a black background with brown striking through horizontally.
