I've been taking screencaps of her anime almost frame-by-frame as of late so I could have nice references when making illustrations and possibly making animation in the future.
I want to make a nicely rendered illustration for our upcoming anniversary, and hopefully I can manage that. The problem is I get depressed if I feel like my skills are lacking in a certain area, and I'm unable to represent her beauty. That's unaceptable. I will definitely fill the gaps in my skills before then!

>>3476130I think Mai prefers the physique of cool martial arts action heroes like Kenshiro and Bruce Lee. It makes sense, why wouldn't she? Having an attractive physique isn't just a matter of aesthetics, it also proves the person has discipline and looks after themselves, important qualities I'm sure she values.
As an artist I also value that ideal and strive for it, so even though she doesn't put a whole deal of emphasis on things like that, I think my wife would find me attractive as well.
