4chan's not gonna be a website forever, and recently I've been thinking about the site after it collapses.
I know the users will just move somewhere else- three quarters are ledditors and remaining quarter consists of people that browse boards that aren't /b/ or /pol/- but it just depresses me to think that a piece of internet history will just dissipate one day. Obviously, there are archives, but they're not the same.
When do you think it'll collapse? Where do you think you'll be? What'll you remember or miss?
For me, I think it'll collapse soon- like in a year or so- since lots of people really hate the site. I don't think I'll have changed much, and I'll most likely still be carrying out my Nonon practices elsewhere.
But these threads are a duty that I've integrated into my schedule, losing it would mean I lose a part of myself. They give me a sense of belonging, a community, a feeling that my presence would be missed.
