There were a couple of times when it seemed like there could have been a couple of months between arcs where they were in school or training and healing. I would argue that it must have been over a year, because there was deep snow shown in both the battle for brew and the scene where they go to Moscow. Alaskan winters are long but the fact that they were able to approach the island by boat makes me think that it was fall, because getting from a boat to something that's surrounded by ice is dicey, the outsides are always rotten. Moscow has long winters but I think there's maybe 3 months that the manga arc could've taken place in, 5 max. Because they were really bundled up.
