I can see her being the sweetest and genkiest girl the protagonist ever met when outside the gym and then during the battle for the medal her attitude would completely change into a quick-tempered, strict one with a glance that would tell "You are not having this medal unless you trained until puking".

Heracross with Guts
Lucario
Gallade
and Blaziken with Speed Boost as her strongest
But this is just me choosing some Fighting type pokemon with FIGHTING SPIRIT and somehow related to speed (Blaziken) but I'm sure there are some other combinations that would fit her character better but I haven't played a pokemon game in ages.
