>>2217736The idea of a damsel-in-distress is quite finicky.... it's often a pejorative. It's a fine balance between the negative idea of the damsel in distress (which Rebuild promotes) and the person who can benefit by a helping hand at times.
Rei's introduction is brief and on it's own enough to say that Rei is as a person not helpless, but it's enough to say that in this scenario that she does need help, and should be helped.
I don't like it when Rei is made the damsel. I hate when the balance is tipped and she becomes only the damsel.
