The notion that that their relationship couldn't last forever because he looks like a sailor uniform is laughable. And that as-is is a keyword, they weren't static, and Senketsu's whole gimmick is that he can change shape and evolve to be whatever Ryuko needed. The now penultimate episode covers the biggest gap of all, Senketsu's inability to be heard by others.
