Every few chapters when Ishida had overcome a problem, a new one just popped right back up, which isn't great.
I think it worked well when it was used to introduce characters, but then it started getting tedious. I think it would have been better just to have the characters come and grow naturally over time instead of instantly being healed during Ishida's coma.
I believe the series should have been broken down like this, The problem/solution arcs introducing characters; Shouko confesses and Ishida understands her, but freaks out because he doesn't feel like he deserves her.
Then you could have the love triangle angle with Ueno while Ishida is discovering his feelings for either her or Shouko while also wondering if it's okay to be with Shouko.
