On a more serious note, I don't think they'd necessarily be antagonistic given more time, but the pairing just seems a forced "throw the 'special' ones together" with no regad for their personalities, when it isn't a 'pair the spares' to facilitate LAS so the author doesn't get accused of 'leaving them out' (because hooking up = character developement?) -personally, I'd rather see them both with some generic spouses in the epilogue, and some other indication that they archieved sucess & personal developement beyond figuring out how to use their naughty bits.
