Her manga Ore No Kouhai has the ending you described, and it works a bit better because it's told from Ruri's perspective so it fits the focus, but it suffers because otherwise it's still based on the original story, and doesn't really expand on her role enough- it feels weak because there needed to be more original content to fill the gaps, and it doesn't help that the art is kinda inconsistent. If the entire story was rewritten with Ruri as the focus instead of incest, then I would like it more. That being said, I already feel jealous seeing her with Kyousuke, so I don't know how I would handle it if that was the original canon ending
