>>3999403But, if you consider an idol to be a character, played by an actress. With Chara as the character. Then I forsee it ending like Larry the Cable Guy: With the actress's personality being overwritten by that of her on-stage persona.
The persona, who wishes to push further and see things through to their end, and who resents idols that try to break their contract, becomes a part of how the actress thinks.
Sure, the actress would deny this - that her idol career was just a job, not who she is. But once you're an idol, the whole world is going to see you as your persona, and you're obliged to act in a way that respects your role. All you have left is who you are in your own mind. And when your own mind is so used to pushing forward for the sake of your career ... you have to admit that the persona is more real than you are.
Those who live by their FAME shall be subsumed by their FAME. And, they will give their SOUL over to their performance, and the persona which performs it. And when those crowds cheer, they aren't cheering to remember the actress. They're cheering for the actress to be overwritten by the Character she portrays, and forgotten.
I like that.
Maybe this idol thing might work out after all.
