If you're still hung up on the hair thing, I'll explain this as best I can.
The way Lilly's hair is now, I think it's the best it can be. If it were changed, it certainly wouldn't be some disaster, but I wouldn't simply totally approve. And working out the logic, I think that her asking me for my input would be the most likely way things would play out in such a scenario.
