Someone a thread or two ago asked about pilots who were shot down the most during WWII.
Heinrich Bar, a Luftwaffe pilot, was shot down 18 times. I don't know if that's the record, but it is certainly a large number. Bar also has a long list of accomplishments that puts him in contention for "best" ace of the war:
>220 kills in total (#8 overall)
>124 kills against Western pilots (#2 behind Marseille)
>Fought successfully on all major fronts (Battles of France and Britain, Eastern Front, Mediterranean, Home Defense)
>Part of the JV44 Squadron of Aces
>Finished the war as the leader of JV44
>16 kills in the Me262 jet, the best Jet Ace of the war
>Fought continuously from 1 September 1939 to 8 May 1945
Bar survived the war and went into civilian aviation afterwards. He died in an aerial acrobatics accident in 1957.
Bar has Witch model, but she only shows up in side material and doesn't even have an official portrait. So here's a Krupi instead.
