>>2872570says who? the history of mankind has been making the impossible possible by an enhanced understanding of the fundamental laws of the universe. five hundred years ago, if you told a leading scholar that we'd be able to fly heavy objects around the world and into space at extremely high speeds, that we'd be able to move almost infinitely complex and dense amounts of information across the world almost instantaneously, and that we'd be able to generate realistic virtual worlds on the scale of entire geographic regions, they'd probably call you mad. where were we thirty years ago compared to today? where will be thirty years from now? sixty? one hundred? two hundred?
the ability to create a learning, self-adapting virtual intelligence guided down the paths we want it is something i think can happen, and further that we would be able to give it a representative sampling of personality data and have it assume the role of that "character." someday, waifus will be real, as will many other wonderful things. make sure you all take care of yourselves so you can live to see the day.
