You're really picking the wrong argument because not only does blindness not factor into those scenes at all (and they both occur after Hisao almost dies from his condition), but Lilly's independence despite blindness isn't so much implied as it is hammered into our faces throughout the route with how competent and on top of things she is all the time, while Hisao outright states how dependent he's gotten on her emotionally.
