Without them happening, what would become of NGE? It would continue to grow and so would it's influence. Greed is what will be the end of mankind. True evil is self destructive. It is it's own enemy. For chaos may destroy everything around it, but if it's a person, it will destroy itself too. One may be chaotic, but one will never be a master of "Chaos". For chaos is the one that rules humanity. People can only try to take advantage of it. Profit off of war. But discord between warmongers will be their undoing.
