>>3801833>It's a separate continuity I'm pretty sure.My headcanon is that PS1 Lain and the Anime Lain both have the same issues but the Anime Lain is undiagnosed as she never went to a therapist like the vidya one, and the game serves as a sort of window into her mindset. Granted, It's been a while since I've read the translation for the PS1 game and if I remember correctly Lain is kind of a fucking nut in that game so I could be way off the mark here but I'd still like to believe.
