I switched to FastStone, it has basic image editing functions, it's simple, fast (until i bombard it with >2mb pics) and has nice interface . However, there is no advanced configuration, more complex metadata editing and search, but I don't tag my pictures anyway.
I'm now checking Infranview and I think that I'm going to stay with it because it has almost everything that Faststone offers and more.
