Once I started watching Hidamari I naturally shifted all my attention to Miyako, enjoying her scenes the most (The same thing happened when I read the manga and eventually rewatched the show afterward). To cut a long story short, it was thanks to this that I reached my own definition of a waifu: She's your ideal person and a character you feel you can relate to. Someone that you know if she were next to you right now you would do your best to make her happy. To me, I would love to make Miyako the best meal I can manage, gather supplies to make an art project together, then end the day with a walk.
