>>2815912Well at this point Asuka's character arc in rebuild is mainly about Shinji, they removed unnecessary and uncomfortable aspects of Asuka's character like her one sided crush on Kaji. She's much kinder and not egocentric like Soryu. She's very mad at Shinji but she quickly forgets about it at the end, holding his hand and stuff.
She did have feelings for him in 2.22 but we don't know if this is the case now, so we'll see. We're going to have to wait a long while on how they finish this character arc.
