>>2973723>filenameI don't hold subscribe to the idea of contextualism when analyzing a work of fiction. Thus I believe that the Rei you consider to be the real Rei (Anno's Rei in NGE) is not complete in and of itself. Structurally there is the idea of Rei that Anno tapped into when creating NGE, but he or anyone on the cast is not the final say on Rei ideal. So then who "has" the real Rei you may ask? No one does,at least not completely. Some may have the idea of the strength of Rei or another may understand her empathy for humanity. That is why we must gain a more complete picture of her, from other fellow Reifags. Of course there are going to be many false conceptions of Rei along the way. That is why I am asking if any of you have read or heard of any good Rei literature. If not that's alright too. Have a good night anon, though I'll still be constantly lurking here.
