To me she's an endlessly fascinating character. Her kind yet fragile heart, the suffering she goes through, the strength she finds in herself to persevere, the depth of her love for Madoka, etc. It's all so beautiful to me and I empathize so much with her. More than anything, I want to see Homura-chan smile from genuine happiness.
Maybe it's because in a certain way I recognize myself a bit in her but I don't know. I'm not even a waifufag but Homura will always have a special place in my heart and I think I'm definitely not alone in that regard.
