It's what you show that counts, which is why 3.0 shows an explicitly bad clone Rei over something new with the original Rei, or a Rei III that's just as good. You know very well that the sum total of 3.0's accomplishments as far as Rei goes is to show off Rei as a rather weak, easily manipulated half-person that might become a whole person in the end.
