I think they both had plenty of the fun material but both ended on discordant notes.

[spoiler:lit] why did they make the first movie end with a supposedly poignant death when that chick with the bells was back and bumping around in movie 2 like absolutely nothing happened
and what the heck was going on in movie 2? the whole earth dissolving bit was never clearly explained unless I missed some tiny conversation or got a video missing some scenes. anyways, wouldnt ikaros dying in the real world not mean a thing (like that chick with the bells "dying" but coming back before the next movie started) since there was like that one scene in the series or first movie with that blue hair chick in the synapse talking to sugata, and in the background it looks like ikaros, nymph, and astrea are in pods in the synapse; like earth is the matrix. and whats all that about tomoki not being in any of the parallel worlds? is this all explained in the comics or dis I seriously somehow miss critical plot points throughout the series and films? idk what the text says, I took spanish in school but that was honestly more than a decade ago, seems like the spaniards or mexicans really like sno too since spanish dubs are availible which you dont see all the time
