>>3515354If you had conveyed it in the manner you are now, then of course not. Instead, you made a scene, and now it's taken over three weeks for us to sort it out. I am perfectly happy to engage with you in a discussion like this, but that does not entail saying "I quit" and slamming the door.
Alright! That aside, I'm actually quite excited right now, and I think we're getting somewhere. At some point there has been a breakdown in communication, and I think it relates to how we each conceptualize the issue at hand. To me, "traitor" is pretty loaded language that connotes more than "just" someone who fits specific legal criteria, but also a highly ignoble state of mind and behavior. And your use of it in this scenario gave me the impression you were ascribing these qualities to her; not necessarily because you found them present, but more out of frustration/protest with the situation in general (i.e., I surmise you object to the premise of having her do so, and this is how you express it). My intent wasn't to deny the objective, but to provide a counterpoint to the subjective and make the case that it isn't worth getting upset (to clarify, my stance is more "Yes, it happened, but I don't mind because the result is fun and a net positive"). I admit to being frustrated myself and allowing that to color my vocabulary, which you seem to have interpreted as denialist or flippant and for which I apologize. In actuality, our opinions appear to be very close. I agree with you on the the specifics; our reactions seem to be where we diverge. Ultimately, I don't want -either- of us to be upset. I want us to reach an understanding and celebrate what we both mutually enjoy.
>>3515362I want to, my friend, but this has been brewing for a while and I feel like we need to hammer it out.
