Also it definitely didn't have the same wild tonal shifts as the first two seasons. But I think the secondary cast members suffer in brave witches since its more a story focused on hikari than 1-2 was set on yoshika. Which i think is fine decision since Hikari's being a low powered witch who uses hard work and gumption to prove herself is a better story than yoshika second coming of jesus. Though I do think that Yoshika has the cuter butt.
The Neuroi definitely seem more menacing, but I also did notice that sometimes the animation attempted to be far more dynamic but didn't actually back it up with budget and so it suffered a bit. I did not mind the 3d at all though I barely noticed it and it was in fact 2d action scenes that were the worst offenders of QUALITY.
