Those discussions don't pop up that much anymore, but some people used to suggest that the girls were just along for the ride. That only the boys knew what was going on. I've even heard some say that the girls were only present for their own routes. That they became npc's once Riki helped them.
Well, most of the girls had to deal with their situations throughout their lives. They were all strong to some extent. Losing a parent in the fashion that Kud did would have been brutal. Glad that she had Riki's support when she had to go through it a second time.
