>>3467692As a competitive first person shooter, Overwatch is actually something of an anomaly in my library. My real passion is big, immersive, open world RPGs, so Cyberpunk 2077 is definitely on my radar (been an avid CD Projekt fan since the first Witcher), as are The Outer Worlds and Elden Ring. I'm a huge FromSoft fanboy, so I was going to follow the latter no matter what, but knowing Miyazaki and his team are tackling my favorite subgenre has me all the more excited.
Breath of the Wild 2 as well, but I have mixed feelings about it just as a concept. The original is easily one of my recent favorites and one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had with a game since I was a kid. Frankly, I'm not sure it even needs a sequel, and I'm unsure about what direction it could take. Returning to the series formula would be a step backward, but how do you recreate the sense of scope and wonder without feeling like a retread? It'll be interesting to see it develop. Short-haired Zelda a cute, though.
