You willingly interpret e.g Masayuki as being Rei's patron Saint, but refuse to even consider Anno (or others) being responsible for subverting Rei Ayanami's character. Despite that Anno has been very critical and dismissive of Rei's character, and even admittedly conspired together with Kunihiko Ikuhara in order to write Rei's character simply to "betray Rei fans".
I hate to say this, but you look slightly kooky in the way you're trying to judge people for trying to understand what's going on.
