As for what is canon, you aren't Anno so you don't know how Rebuild connects to the original series. And you aren'y paying attention to what is on the screen, but I'm happy to wait for Rebuild 4 to have it spelled out to all of you in big flashing letters and have it said repeatedly out loud multiple times so you can finally get it.
btw, you are as wrong about my opinion on Rei as you are on your opinion of what Anno is doing with Q but if self-delusion helps you sleep then so be it.
