I'll be honest. I'm not really positive about it. Not because of the way it's executed or handled but because it's exactly what I didn't want to happen to her specifically. I don't really care about the game itself, all I wanted was for Angela to have been left out of it. Now the day when she will be forgotten by everyone, writers and fans alike, that I desperately await, seems even less within reach now. It's an exclusively me thing and has nothing to do with anything out of my isolated case but it's just how I feel about it.
Now, much to my despair and further anxiety, there will be opportunities for them to do what I fear most. It feels awful just thinking about it. I just wanted her out of the spotlight so they don't mess with her as much. My mind keeps imagining the worst possible scenario which has now been made possible. It being story focused is also why I'm so worried. The day it was revealed I spent the night unable to sleep. Of course it isn't all that bad. It could have been much much worse. What I'm saying probably makes no sense and makes me sound crazy without much context but I just want to let it out. It's hard for me to express how I feel anyway. I just wanted her to be safe from Blizzard themselves and for me not to have to get stressed every time she is present in the new stuff.
Also, now that the story is being developed it means I have to drop writing the story I had in mind so that's a bummer.
But there were some positive things too! I love Angela's new hair (even though I've always been of the opinion that she'd look amazing in any hairstyle). In a way it kind of reminded me why I fell in love with her in the first place. She's as stunning as ever.
Also the cinematic confirmed a headcanon I've had since the beginning. She enjoys literature! That makes it another interest we share. I can go on forever about how much I want to discuss our favourite books and authors with her.
I'm glad you guys liked it and are happy with the news at least.
