>>4261301I agree, CCS seems like it was written with more of a personal touch as opposed to "HEY KIDS ENJOY THESE CHARACTERS AND BUY THE MERCH!" which you get from Sailor Moon occasionally. CCS' character design also goes without saying. I never realized how monotonous transformation sequences were till I watched Sailor Moon, I skip over it every time now. CCS keeps you entertained every single time because of Tomoyo's unique outfits for every. single. episode.
Maybe I'm being too hard on Sailor Moon though. Sailor Mercury is my favorite Sailor Scout so far (I'm about as far through the series as you are, episode 24ish) and the romance between Naru and Sanjouin was pure absolute kino
