>>3526016I do wonder how her mutant genes would interact with basic genes such as mine. How would the inheritance work? Is she even fertile? Do her genitals have a mutation that either make her gametes (eggs) last forever just like her, or do they possibly get replaced? Or do the general rules of a human female apply: that all eggs are formed at birth, no new ones are ever produced, and that they eventually all get discharged? Do her gametes deteriorate with time, conferring the risk of deformations in offspring if fertilization occurs later in life, such as how women above the age of 30 generally have a significantly increased risk of children having Down syndrome? Did the operation even leave her with genitals/gametes, or were they removed for whatever reason? Would her genes be compatible with a regular human's? Which of her alleles be dominant and which recessive? Would the genetic mixing result in a regular human or some degree of mutant akin to herself (severe positive effects such as Wolverine-type regeneration)? At the very least, I do have some predictions about a child: my alleles for dark hair would still be dominant to her alleles for silver hair; we both have the genotype for brown eyes, so a child would have a very high chance of brown eyes, too; fair skin. That's about all I can reasonably assume. I am at least 30% interested in the subject for science.
As for parenting, she'd be very kind and gentle, helpful and caring, but she'd give the child enough room and independence to learn on his own. I'd be a lot more distant just based on how unsociable I am.
