>>4265699>That'd be way more interesting than a 3.0 prequel people keep talking about. While I agree I do think like a 2I prequel there's so much to wonder about like the NERV civil war, Gendo & Fuyut being removed & replaced by Kaworu & Kaji, Kaji's sacrifice which was hinted in 3.0 (the helicopter tail in terminal dogma) & then shown in glimpses in Thrice. Theres enough there if not for some OVA at least a Sadamoto style spin-off manga. Plus 3.0 (-46Hrs) provides a decent enough hook to see what that world was like with the brief glimps we get of partially reconstructed U02 & Short haired Asuka & 3.0 (-120m) had a nice tender moment confirming that during 3.0/Thrice Asuka still loved Shinji
>Second impact and the time that followed it is a really facinating time when you think about it, there's at least enough there for an OVA, i think.Yeah in all three main continuities (Manga, TV & Thrice) it's mentioned that World War III basically kicked off sans nukes for some reason. The Manga did some real interesting world building regarding post2I world with Kaji's fleshed out backstory of being part of some scrappy gang of kids he ended up selling out to save himself. There was even a camp of presumably Military remnants that he was stealing food from so that begs the question if the 2I was that big that it disrupted entire nations and their militaries, what happened to say, Russia, The US or China? Did they have some real strange restructuring ala Fallout's alternate US / China cold war? Nerv is said to have branches in China, the US & Germany. As well as it's explicitly stated that it's under the control of the UN. So in Eva's universe did Globalism actually pan out and the UN is just the global govt? there's lots of interesting discussions to be had
>This brings into question how Kaworu would exist if not for the contact experiment.I really wonder if Kaworu is an occupied donor body if he was a willing participant, political prisoner, or a sacrifice too
