I don't get all the hate that Rei Q gets though. Shinji so wanted to save Rei but the next time he meets her she's blank again. It feels so awful. "I am not a doll" Rei 2 said. And at this point she was right. But Rei Q is literally a doll. She just stands there all day awaiting her orders. Gendo didn't even bother to make her do *anything* other than what he needed of her. She's still aware though. "I am not me?". It was really sad and I liked it.
