>>3793443>May your gym habit stick, and your time there be its own reward.Thank you. I'd already done it before for about four months, but the start of the year was such an unbelievably stressful mess that I ultimately had to put it on hold. I'll find out in a few days if things have now stabilized enough for me to feel like I can give it my all again.
>What program are you doing?I forgot where I took my dumbbell P/P/L program from, but it's served me well so far. My arm strength is sadly almost nonexistent and I've been somewhat out of shape for much of my life, so I have to make do with this.
>>3793493Good lad. The world would be a nicer place with more people like you.
I wonder what means of contact would be practical for those of us outside the states. Discord and social media both tend to be frowned upon here (understandably so in some cases), but I guess they're always an option for keeping in touch outside of these threads. Anyone else have any suggestions?
>>3793613>Also, the meme about accidentally re-creating a song is disgustingly true.Absolutely, but hey, there's still value in it so long as you're not doing the musical equivalent of merely tracing other people's drawings. Did you ever get any enjoyment out of making music for yourself? If so, it may yet be worth trying again.
I'd fully understand if you didn't want to though. If you're already doing this professionally or for any other reason besides personal enjoyment, it's much harder to then also enjoy doing it in your spare time. We all need to disconnect every now and then, and turning an interest into a profession is, tragically, often the best way to fall out of love with it.
